Four real things worth checking before choosing: expense ratio — even a 0.3%/year difference compounds meaningfully over years; assets under management (AUM) — a small fund carries higher liquidity and closure risk; holdings concentration— some "theme" ETFs are actually concentrated in 2-3 mega-cap names, not real diversification; and replication structure — a fund that physically holds its underlying assets carries different risk than a synthetic one built on derivatives.
