Our guiding principle is simple: AI explains data that has already been calculated — it never creates the underlying data itself.
The StockIQ AI Score (0-100), its 7 sub-categories (technical, fundamental, growth, fair value, news, quality, and risk), the technical indicators, and the fair-value model — all of these are a deterministic code calculation over real data, not the output of a language model. AI enters the picture only after that calculation is already finished — to phrase the result in plain language. If AI is unavailable (e.g. provider load), the page still shows every real score and data point — just without the explanatory text paragraph.
For details on which providers supply the raw data that AI explains, see the data sources page, and for the calculation method itself, see the methodology page.
