Who is responsible for your data (data controller)

StockIQ is the data controller for the personal data described in this document. For any privacy question, request, or inquiry, you can reach us directly at stockiqai@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Basic browsing data — IP address, browser type, the page viewed, and the date/time of the visit, used to operate the Site and for general usage analysis (e.g. daily unique visitors). Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating and securing the Site.
• Email address and user account— if you sign up/log in (via Google OAuth or a one-time email login link — we never store passwords, under either method), we store your email address and last login time to identify your account and enable features that require login (personalized alerts, saved portfolio analysis). Legal basis: performance of the contract between you and us (providing the features you chose). This data is kept as long as your account is active, and deleted on your request (see "Your Rights" below) or after prolonged inactivity.
• Images uploaded to the portfolio-analysis tool — stored in our database (Cloudflare D1, protected by the platform's standard encryption at rest; we do not apply additional application-level encryption on top of that), and sent to one of the external AI providers described below solely to extract the list of holdings from the image, for no other purpose. Currently every upload is persisted — there is no option to run the extraction without storing the image. Only site administrators can access stored images, through an internal admin-only tool. We do not use uploaded images to train any AI model ourselves; whether a third-party AI provider uses submitted images for their own model training is governed by that provider's independent policy, not by us. Do not upload an image containing identifying information you do not wish to share. Images are not automatically deleted after a fixed period — they are retained until you explicitly request deletion (see "Your Rights" below). Legal basis: consent (uploading the image is your own active, voluntary action).
• Cookies — the Site, along with its advertising and analytics providers (see below), use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, measure usage, and serve ads. Legal basis: consent (non-essential advertising/analytics cookies) and legitimate interest (strictly necessary operational cookies, such as staying logged in).

International data transfers

Some of the providers we use (data hosting, AI processing, advertising — see below) process data outside of Israel, including in the US and Europe. Each such provider is governed by its own independent privacy and security policy.

Personalized advertising (Google AdSense)

The Site may display ads served by Google (Google AdSense). As part of this, Google and third-party vendors use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and others.

By default the Site requests only non-personalized ads from Google, until you make an explicit choice in the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Your choice is saved in your browser. You can change it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser (which shows the banner again), or via the links below.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, visit www.aboutads.info/choices to opt out of the use of cookies by other third-party vendors for personalized advertising.

Third-party providers

Market data and analysis on the Site come from several external sources (full breakdown on the data sources page). The Site's AI features are powered by several third-party language-model providers (rotated automatically based on availability) — the content they generate is always constrained to facts already computed by StockIQ's own methodology (see the Methodology page), they do not invent data. Each of these providers has its own independent privacy policy governing use of their services.

Your rights

You are not required to provide us with any information. However, without certain information (e.g. an email address or a portfolio image) some features may not be available. Subject to applicable law, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access to the data we hold about you.
• Correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal exceptions.
• Receiving your data in a portable format, where applicable.
• Objecting to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Withdrawing consent previously given (e.g. for advertising cookies), at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.

If you believe your data is being processed in violation of the law, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent authority — in Israel, the Privacy Protection Authority. EU residents may contact their national data protection authority; US residents may contact the relevant authority in their state (e.g. their state Attorney General, depending on local law).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
