MP Materials, which mines rare earths at Mountain Pass, California, built a dedicated neodymium-iron-boron magnet manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, Texas under a long-term supply agreement with General Motors, announced in 2021 and finalized in 2022 β the first fully domestic mine-to-magnet supply chain for GM's EV motors.
